Key
Responsibilities:
Lead team through the continuous improvement process to optimize quality and cost of operations.
Capacity planning, resource and capital expenditure planning Oversee launch of new products:
o New line commissioning, line setup, tooling design, execution of Prototype and PV builds, builds results and action tracking to closure Ensure adherence to the Safety Quality Delivery Cost Work with production and maintenance departments to ensure tools and documentation are available and up to date Coach team, promote collaboration and standardization Manage Yokoten (read across) and lessons learned implementation Support team through the 8D problem solving process and quality reactions Support One Product One Process (1P1P) activities through the Global Process Development organization Ensure full implementation of the MPS (Manufacturing Process Standards) Lead activities of production team by directly performing or through subordinate managers Ensure work is performed in a safe and efficient manner, and in compliance to standards Ensure production schedules meet customer delivery expectations in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
Drive consistency of operations to ensure the highest quality, highest reliability parts are produced.
Review production and operating results; OEE, scrap, FPY, etc.
and drive resolution of operational, manufacturing issues and coordinate with maintenance to minimize costs and prevent operational delays Ensure full implementation of work standards, 5S, operators work instruction, LPA, etc.
Review long term staffing requirements Coordinate production needs and activities through collaboration with other functional areas to ensure long and short-term goals of all areas are met with respect to parts, access to equipment, capital investments, projects, enhancements etc.
Measure teams' performance vs monthly targets Provide leadership to Maintenance teams to ensure Maintenance activities align with operational goals Provide direction to team members based on general policies and management guidance Interpret and execute policies and procedures that typically affect reporting organizational units Accomplish results through managers, supervisors, and/or team members, who exercise significant latitude and independence in their assignments Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget Provide resources and remove obstacles and barriers Work with the global organization to implement best practices Key Qualifications/Requirements:
Education - Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Experience:
Minimum 8 years of manufacturing experience Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) in English Experience in production/manufacturing environments with specific experience working with highly specialized equipment, processes, tooling, techniques and methods Strong leadership abilities including direction, collaboration, coaching and influencing across levels within the organization Well-developed computer and analytical skills including use of Excel Demonstrated ability to prioritize work activities to satisfy changing requirements Demonstrated ability to accurately control costs and manage work performance Ability to solve practical problems using a structured approach Demonstrates the willingness to accept responsibility and accountability within a larger team of managers Automotive experience is preferred Familiarity with TS16949 and ISO14001 Job Type:
