Working conditions:
Full time/Part time Hours/days as assigned POSITION SUMMARY Perform a variety of general housekeeping duties in resident rooms, public areas and other interior/exterior facility areas and assist in maintaining a positive physical and psychosocial environment for residents while meeting or exceeding quality standards.

Essential Job Functions Clean, disinfect and straighten resident rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, common areas, elevators, stairways, laundry room and other work areas so health standards are met.
Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and draperies using a vacuum cleaner and/or shampooer.
Sweep, scrub, wax, and disinfect sinks, tubs, toilets and bathing rooms Polish silver accessories and metalwork such as fixtures and fittings.
Dust and polish furniture, woodwork and equipment Wash windows, door panels and sills Empty wastebaskets and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas/trash receptables Clean up spills, soiled areas and other conditions as observed or directed.
Collect, wash, dry, fold and distribute all laundry for the facility following the approved laundry procedures.
Move and replace furniture as needed Ensure equipment is safe and stored properly and work areas are safe.
Replace light bulbs Adhere to procedures regarding cleaners or other hazardous materials Restock/reorder supplies as necessary within budget and properly store them.
Ensure universal precautions and infection control, isolation, fire, safety and sanitation practices and procedures are followed.
Properly report any hazardous conditions and equipment, incidents or accidents Attend in-service and other training as required.
Understand, comply with and promote resident rights Promote positive relationships with residents, visitors and regulators Maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent personal or health information concerning residents and employees.
Perform other duties as required.
