Job Description:
As a Dental Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our dental practice.
Your primary duties will include processing insurance claims, handling patient billing inquiries, and ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement from insurance companies.
You will work closely with our administrative team to maintain patient records, verify insurance coverage, and reconcile accounts receivable.
Responsibilities:
Process insurance claims for dental procedures accurately and efficiently.
Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility.
Review and interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOB) statements.
Handle patient billing inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
Follow up on outstanding insurance claims and accounts receivable.
Maintain accurate patient records and billing information.
Collaborate with dental providers and administrative staff to resolve billing discrepancies.
Stay updated on changes in dental coding, insurance regulations, and billing procedures.
Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements:
Proven experience in dental billing or medical billing.
Strong knowledge of dental insurance plans, procedures, and terminology.
Proficiency in dental billing software (e.
g.
, Dentrix, Eaglesoft) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Certification in dental billing and coding (preferred but not required).
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration is a plus.
