Product Development Engineer (BSME)

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical
engineering
or equivalent technical degree/experience, with one to six years' experience as an Engineer
SKILLS:
Brushless DC Motor Design (Required)
Simulation experience with BLDC motor design software (Preferred)
Keen understanding of motor control
electronics
hardware and software (Preferred)
Blower, Fan, Rotating Machines, or Turbo machinery Design (Preferred)
Consideration will be given to candidates having experience in any of the following areas: 3D Design in SolidWorks or Equivalent, Stampings, Aerodynamics Design, Air Flow Measurements and Analysis, NVH Measurements and Analysis, OEM Test Requirements, Product Data Management, APQP Documentation, BLDC Motor Design, Fan/Blower Design, Assembly Design, GD&T, Assembly Tolerance Stack Ups, Design for Manufacturing and Assembly, FEA, CFD, Ventilation systems and components
Responsibilities:
Provide technical expertise related to blower motor development related magnetic circuit
Ensure that brand new product or process related to blowers is designed within various industry standards according to applicable specification in a safe, cost efficient and timely manner while following the PCP process
Work closely with internal and external suppliers to ensure technical requirements are met on time and within cost targets.
Create and maintain DFMEA, DVP&R, BOM, GD&T and drawings.
Initiate, review and release drawings, specs and parts.
Ensure that design related documents/changes are in the PDM, SAP and BAAN and maintained throughout the life of the product.
Continuously improve existing product design to increase customer satisfaction (CI and VAVE initiatives)
Ensure functional and safe prototypes.
Identify unachievable project timelines from design phase through production and service
Attend, support and participate in engineering development meetings, program launches with the customer and team.
Act as a technical liaison between customer, and internal
Reviews manufacturing and industrial engineering related documentation for new and existing products
The employee will be required to travel to various domestic and international locations for the purpose of conducting business on behalf of the companyEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
