Snelling Staffing is currently in need of a Welding Process Engineer for a client in Clarkston, Michigan. This opportunity is direct hire. Ideally, someone who can come in and trouble shoot the welding robots, potentially write training programs and train the operators, someone who can work with the commercial sales team in quoting new business and make recommendations for Welding Wire, cycle times, costing, etc. An individual that is comfortable managing new business can help to set up new weld machines and help us find local vendors for this. Someone that will understand the metallurgy and work with the R&D group that develop new products that can actually weld. A candidate that is used to the day to day on the shop floor, sitting in meetings with the customer.
Coordinate the activities of production launch and order fulfillment ensuring the respect of quality, cost and time required by the Customer. He is responsible for new equipment development, installation, setup and trial, for welding processes. Supports the Operations in acquiring the needed level of equipment knowledge. Serves as the primary engineering resource in support of welding & fabrication activities. Utilize advanced technical knowledgeable in all aspects of welding and materials.
Qualifications:
1.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
